Letlhogonolo Modise’s Foundation was established on the 3rd of August 2019. Letlhogonolo Modise is a young stroke survivor who had a stroke in February 2010, during her final year of High School. When the time came for her to be discharged, Ms. Modise and her family had no idea what to do next or who to contact regarding her way forward.

With some assistance she was able to achieve getting through her final year of High School and getting into a university with limited assistance and financial backing. Being close to the ten year mark, her experience has allowed her to see how young stroke survivors aren’t made a priority in terms of what happens to them once they leave the hospital. Ms. Modise has come to realize that there’s a reason why she and many young stroke survivors, survive near death experiences. This is what made her establish the foundation to better assist others in ways she wishes someone could’ve assisted her.
